Becoming an Elijah and Deborah in this Generation (2)
Hello, my dear friend,
I trust you had a great weekend and your new week is starting well. Last week, we began a series “Becoming an Elijah and Deborah in this Generation” which you can go back to here:
I talked about the Power and Spirit of Elijah. The power of Elijah is the sealing power while the spirit of Elijah is prophetic anointing. The sealing power of Elijah was demonstrated when;
i. He told Ahab there won’t be dew or rain, and it happened.
ii. He told the widow of Zarephath to feed him, and the negative condition of her son was reversed.
iii. He prayed for the revival of the dying son of the widow.
iv. He mysteriously showed his personality to Ahab and Obadiah.
v. He disgraced the power of the prophets of Baal on Mount Camel
vi. He prayed seven times until the rain feel again
vii. He outran the chariot of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.
viii. He decreed the death of Ahaziah, the king of Samaria for trusting in the god of Ekron.
ix. He called down fire to destroy the army of the king of Samaria
For Deborah, she had a warrior and military assignment that she rose up to, at a time when no one including men could not save the children of Israel from the dominance of Jabin king of Canaan. Even the army commander could not confront the reality of the time until Deborah took up the challenge. Also, Deborah stood in the gap to bring God’s word to manifestation, that Sisera would be sold into the hand of a woman. She gave confidence to Barak, the army commander, which brought about victory and freedom for the people of Israel. More so, Deborah was a great worshipper of God. She made it a culture to always offer praise to God. It is in this that she had dominion over the mighty.
It is my prayer that God shall empower you to become His battle axes like Elijah and Deborah and to become a terror to the kingdom of darkness, in the name of Jesus.
