Except God be with You
John 3:2
Hello, my dear friend at the prophetic corner,
I hope that your new week is going well. Last week’s Prophetic Corner message reminded us that we have no reason to be an actor in any battle of life but a spectator because God is involved. You can read more about it here: https://adewaleonagbesan.substack.com/p/the-battle-is-not-yours-but-gods. This week’s message offers us another important reminder.
Despite the agenda of the Pharisees to set up, accuse, and nail Jesus Christ, even with all the miracles, signs, and wonders that He performed, a member of them, known as Nicodemus, stood out. For Nicodemus, he truly knew that the works of Jesus are profound, although they could only be done by Jesus because God was with Him. This reality is very true, and it is what this week’s prophetic corner message is all about.
The life that you live can prove two things – that you are either from God or not (John 9:16), and if you are not from God, you can do nothing spectacular in your world (John 9:33). For you to be from God is for you to be approved, accredited, publicly endorsed, pointed out, shown forth, commended and attested to by God through to incredible works that are done through you (Acts 2:22). For God to be with you is for you to be anointed with the Holy Spirit, strength, ability and power to do good and mysterious things (Acts 10:38).
This is something Moses understood so well that he told God that if His presence did not go with them, He should not bring them up (Ex 33:15). Also, this was the reality of Joseph despite the challenges he faced. God was with Joseph and delivered him out of all his afflictions and gave him favour and wisdom to prosper in Egypt (Acts 7:9). This was also the reality of David, and because the LORD was with him, the servant of Saul remembered him and his competence and crafts came to limelight and was sought out for (1Sam 16:18).
To someone reading this message, except God be with you – men will never come to the rising of your light; men will never see the glory and presence of God in your life; you can never do the works of God effectively; God’s signs and wonders can never be evident in your life. Except God be with you, you may not experience career elevation, marital settlement, good health and peace of mind. Just like Joseph, when God is with you, you will be successful (Gen 39:2). He will show you mercy and give you favour in the sight of people (Gen 39:21), and whatever you do will prosper and succeed (Gen 39:23).
When God is with you, He will give you victory over persecutors (Jer 20:11), and every battle against you from your enemies will be defeated without you fighting (2Chro20:17). He will not fail nor forsake you (Jos 1:5) and because of this, you have no reason to be afraid or dismayed but to be strong and of a good courage (Jos 1:9). It when you come into this reality that you can boldly declare that if God is for you, who can be against you (Rom 8:31).
